The biomedical industry today demands low lower and low noise amplifiers. An Operational Transconductance Amplifier (OTA) is used to achieve the requirements. The project work is divided into three phases:- ? Implementation of OTA in [1] The OTA in [1] which is implemented consists of three sub circuits, namely, main amplifier, bias circuit and Common Mode Feedback Circuit (CMFB). It is a low power high gain amplifier achieving a high Common Mode Rejection Ratio (CMRR) and high Power Supply Rejection Ratio (PSRR). Simulation on 180nm technology on Cadence Virtuoso for a supply voltage of 2V; gives a static power dissipation of 325.24nW, gain of 33.87dB, CMRR of 82.88dB, PSRR of 73.86dB while maintaining a bandwidth of (1- 230)Hz. ? Modification to OTA in [1] The OTA in [1] is modified to achieve a lower static power dissipation and a higher CMRR. Adaptive biasing and CMRR improvement circuit are added to the OTA to improve static power dissipation and CMRR respectively.
