Name of source Thermal power is the largest source of power in India. Thermal power transmission sector acts a pivotal role in supplying electricity to the end consumers. The greatest variation in the design of thermal power stations is due to the use of different fuel sources. Due to the increase of electricity generation from the cheapest source of renewable energy such as wind and solar energy, the trends of the overall load factor of thermal power plant in India as fallen tremendously. This reduction in production have cut-down the carbon emission and also emphasizes foremost cost reduction of installation of thermal power plant and its components. Therefore the performance and efficiency of this component such as Junction tower is important. Among various component of the thermal power plant, the load on the Steel Junction tower is quite complex in addition complex structural arrangements subjected to static and dynamic loading in various directions.
