A new compact, wideband, circularly polarized (CP) stacked patch antenna is proposed for Telemetry and Telecommand (TT&C) application in nanosatellites. The antenna comprises of a driving patch which is excited by a coaxial feed and a parasitic patch. Circular polarization is achieved by corner truncation and the proposed Single fed S-Band transceiver antenna is fabricated on a Rogers 5880(e r =2.2) substrate, the antenna is designed and simulated using a HFSSv.14. software. The simulated results shows that the bandwidth of the stacked patch is approximately 300MHz (2.0-2.3GHz) which covers the Telemetry Telecommand band with VSWR less than 2 and a cross polarization of 12dB.
