TI - Identifying Immunological Endotypes in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): Reshma Ashok PY - 2018///-2019 CY - Bengaluru PB - PES University N1 - Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is obstruction of airflow in and from the lung. COPD is an autoimmune disease caused by the over expression or under expression of certain inflammatory cell and related proteins. In this study, we were trying to characterise COPD based on certain proteins produced, which can be utilised as endotypes for classification of the disease. The study helps us to correlate COPD to Th17 pathway, which is considered major effector pathway in the disease.ROR?t is a transcription factor involved in the programming of CD4+ T cells to the Th17 cell type. The cell type is determined by using antibodies against cell surface marker on fluorescence assorted cell sorter (FACS).Proteins are chosen based on the proximity level to ROR?t. The cytokines and chemokines is determined by two current techniques that is Luminex and single molecular counting SMC ER -
